Psychrometric Test Room

Climatic Testing Systems, Inc. (CTS) designs and manufactures Psychrometric Test Rooms, in accordance with ASHRAE Standard 37, that are used by air conditioner manufacturers to determine the thermal performance of unitary air conditioners, split systems and heat pumps.

Dual, environmentally controlled rooms are used to simulate indoor and outdoor conditions. The Air Enthalpy Method is used to determine unit capacities and obtain heat balances. Code Testers utilizing AMCA nozzles and designed specifically to ASHRAE Standards, are used to provide accurate determination of the test unit air flows and outlet air conditions.CTS control software allows the user to perform all the ARI standard tests.

CTS offers Psychometric Test Rooms up to 150 Ton capacity with a 10:1 turndown range for each facility.
